12th August 2004 Windsurfing: Galicia, Spain Wind Direction: W then S Wind Stength: 15-18 knots then nada. Surf / Sea State: Flat/small waves Air Temperature: Warm Sea Temperature: Tad nippy Weather: High clouds Max Speed: Distance Covered: Wind was looking crap in the morning so went to Ferrol. Got back about 5pm and we'd been robbed! Bastards had nicked my wetsuits which I'd left on my tent and all the broken kit we had accumulated in the past couple of days. Idiots why would they want to do that?!?!? Anyway the wind was blowing so borrowed James' NP Soul 5.7 and Martin's FSW 84 and summer wetsuit. Rigged up and walked down to the beach but....wind had died. GRRRRR. Blobbed in and out - had one small wave which got me into the straps for all of about, ooohh, 2 seconds - but then gave up. Very annoying we should have got back earlier. So far haven't had a really good session here - always seem to be a fraction underpowered. But it's a beautiful place having a great time. And some serious wind is forecast for Mon Tues Weds before I leave on Thursday - bring it on I'm dying for a solid wavey session on my Quatro and 4.5. |
